    Job Summary:

    Responsible for leading and training staff, maintaining operations, and assisting customers at Winona Outdoor Pool as well as Barnes and Fairgrounds Ballfields Concession stand. Responsible for assisting and overseeing preparation of area for day to day operation, ensuring all policies and codes are in compliance. Assist in food preparation, accurate counting and balancing of all transactions, and assisting the Concession Manager.

    The salary range for this position is $14.81- $18.36 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

    Position will remain open until filled.

    Step right up and have fun working with us at our concession stands! We offer a flexible work schedule with a weekly maximum of 20 hours. Looking for part-year or year round employees! Must be available to work some evenings, weekend and holiday hours.

    Essential Functions:
    • Lead and train staff.
    • Provides excellent customer service.
    • Conducts self in a manner consistent with City of Loveland core values and organizational expectations.
    • Prepare the facility for daily operation in compliance with all policies and codes.
    • Take orders for food and beverages and prepare food items such as nachos and hotdogs, etc. using appropriate quantities of ingredients
    • Participate in the set-up of concession stands, arrange inventory of supplies.
    • Responsible for operating low speed vehicles for transportation of goods and trash.
    • Perform clean-up duties after each shift and ensure that concession stand is sanitized and ready for the next shift.
    • Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
    • Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
    • Communicate with supervisor when issues arise.

    Other Job Functions:
    • May be required to cross-train in other areas for duties .
    • Complete daily inventory.
    • Serves in a leadership role of concession attendants and monitors operations during shifts.
    • Assists with training and communicating new procedures to concession attendants.
    • Maintains temperature logs and food safety checks throughout the day.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    • Must be a minimum of 16 years at time of hire.
    • Six (6) months experience in cash handling, cash register operations and customer relations in a fast paced environment preferred.
    • Basic math ability to accurately count and handle money preferred.
    • Prior food handling and janitorial experience in a public facility preferred.

    Certifications:
    • Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred
    • A valid driver’s license is required if operating carts and vehicles.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Must communicate effectively and professionally with staff and guests at all times concerning day to day operations and information sharing.
    • Must follow written and verbal direction.
    • Complete fee transactions quickly and accurately, prepare daily cash reports using math principles.
    • Learn and operate cash register system.
    • Perform job duties during peak periods of time when customer service activity is fast paced and intense and during relaxed periods.

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
    • Frequent l ight to moderate physical effort that includes frequent standing or walking or maintaining arms and hands in the same position for repetitive tasks. Frequently works with light objects and light hand tools.
    • Frequent e xposure to heat and noise along with working outside in the elements.
    • Occasional m oderate to considerable physical effort that includes working from ladders in awkward positions. Frequent use of light or medium weight objects (e.g., 25-50 lbs) and use of medium weight tools.
    • Occasional e xposure to hazards that are predictable or well protected against.
