OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic administrative specialist to perform temporary office support within our Water Quality program and Strategic Planning, Health Equity and Partnerships Program in the Department of Health and Environment. The ideal candidate will perform functions including coordinating purchasing for teams, supporting community events and meetings, data collection activities, document preparation, customer service and reception activities, and answering process and program-related questions. This position is expected to last between 6 and 12 months.

This is a part-time, temporary position expected to last six months, with the potential to extend up to 12 months. The work schedule will generally fall between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM on designated weekdays, Monday through Friday, as coordinated with program supervisors. This position offers flexibility for remote and hybrid work, with occasional evening hours required.

- Purchasing and coordinating food and supply orders.
- Supporting administrative functions for the Child Fatality Review of Larimer County.
- Assisting with planning and executing community events in the department.
- Managing scheduling, setting up, and following up for partner meetings in the department.
- Developing agendas, minutes, and other programmatic documents.
- Providing administrative and documentation support to various teams and staff in the department.

- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
- Proficiency with routine software and business applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and databases.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with correct grammar and spelling.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with County employees, representatives of other agencies and organizations, and community members.
- Commitment to regular, predictable attendance.
- Skill in operating standard office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, and computers.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
