Introduction Maintains and provides ongoing support and administration for all information security systems, including firewalls, web and email filtering, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAF, secure file transfer, and other security solutions for all city departments including critical infrastructure such as Water/SCADA and Traffic. Monitors and assesses security risks and violations with the city's computing systems, communications networks and other data processing assets. Enforces security standards, policies, and solutions for the enterprise computing environment. Promotes cybersecurity awareness across the organization.
Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate's experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $101,670.40/annually. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience:- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution in Computer Science or related field.
- Four years of experience in systems analysis or design, testing and implementation of computer-based information systems and experience working on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously required.
- An equivalent combination of education and / or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
- Preferred: One or more recognized information security certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Security+, CySA+, etc.
Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements: - Obtain ACJIS TOC-D certification within 1 month of hire (training provided).

Essential Functions Performs duties and responsibilities commensurate with assigned functional area which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following:
- Monitors, maintains, and manages network security solutions that meet customer requirements while also ensuring the security of city systems and critical infrastructure.
- Administers and monitors security software systems to ensure proper operation.
- Responds to alerts from various systems and investigates to determine the cause.
- Consults and interfaces with security engineers, systems engineers, network engineers and application software staff on security issues and requirements.
- Conducts security risk assessments and security violation investigations and recommends action to be taken.
- Keeps current on the latest Information Security technology solutions and best practices.
- Develops information and works with staff to develop solutions to data and network security problems.
