Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.
Why you’ll love this position: Educator Certification issues educator certificates to all educators who work in the state’s school systems, as well as assisting with the review of certificate-holders who are charged with misconduct.
- Works as a certification call center representative responsible for answering calls and assisting with inquiries.
- Opens and processes incoming educator certification mail.
- Scans and files of all documentation received from educators.
- Answers and directs certification telephone calls and correspondence to appropriate staff.
- Collects, verifies, and enters data for issuance of educator certificates.
- Answers e-mail inquiries from educators, school administrators, university/college staff, and others regarding certification requirements, content area specifications, rules, and regulations.
- Assists in greeting office visitors, ascertains purpose of visits, furnishes general information, and takes and relays information.
- Monitors the certification call center.
- Assists school districts, universities/colleges, and individuals on the status of educators' certificates.
- Assumes other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
Minimum Qualifications: - Graduation from high school or High School Equivalency.
- Three years of progressively responsible clerical and secretarial work.
