Full-time position available with the Conventions & Entertainment Facilities Department, Facilities Maintenance Division located at 301 West 13th Street
Salary Range: $5,794-$8,833/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Analyzes maintenance operations and infrastructure management processes
- Manages planning, supervision, and oversight of support staff across various work sections.
- Plans and implement maintenance strategies for facility infrastructure.
- Oversees supervisors responsible for facility maintenance and electronic system elements.
- Supervises maintenance activities to ensure efficiency and compliance with standards.
- Instructs supervisors on general work methods and procedural improvements.
- Develops and conduct training courses to enhance staff competencies.
- Inspects work in progress and upon completion to ensure quality standards.
- Reviews facility conditions and maintenance effectiveness through reports and discussions.
- Ensures that existing facilities are maintained efficiently and adequately.
Qualifications
REQUIRES high school graduation and 5 years of experience in complex computer operations installation setup, electronic systems electronic engineering, project management, or telecommunication set up and analysis. ; OR an accredited Associate's degree in facilities infrastructure management, computer science, engineering, or electronics and 3 years of experience in complex computer operations installation setup, electronic systems, electronic engineering, project management, or telecommunication set up and analysis. Must pass a physical examination as prescribed by the City and a preemployment drug screen.

The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
