Job Location: This position will be located at 930 Wildwood Dr, Jefferson City, MO 65109 and is eligible for hybrid work. The Central District Office, located at 5900 N Tower Dr, Columbia, MO 65202, may also be considered.

What you’ll do: - Provide guidance, education, and support to local public health agencies, health care professionals, and the public regarding communicable disease case investigations and outbreaks, disease reporting, prevention and control measures, and emerging situations.
- Conduct quality assurance and analyze trends of reported communicable diseases for 29 local public health jurisdictions in Central Missouri.
- Collaborate with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Missouri State Public Health Laboratory (SPHL), the Bureau of Environmental Health Services (BEHS) and other local, state, and federal partners on communicable disease case and outbreak investigations.
- Assist with trainings as needed, including but not limited to, Principles of Epidemiology, Laboratory Services Workshop, Websurv, and EpiTrax.
- Supervise an Associate Epidemiologist.
All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications - Master's degree in public health or similar health related field AND two or more years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Knowledge of the epidemiologic methods use in public health.
- Understanding of the epidemiology of communicable diseases.
- Ability to analyze and interpret epidemiologic data.
