    Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.

    The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Office of Quality Schools Student Support Services section, provides support to educators, administrators, students, and families with resources in relation to students who are identified as Homeless, English Learner, Immigrant, Refugee, Migrant, or placed in foster or correctional settings.

    • Assist in the administration of the Department's Federal Consolidated and Discretionary Grants. The section has direct supervision authority for the following grants: Title I.D, Title III, Foster Care, and Equitable Services.
    • Provide governance and guidance to the Supervisor at the Director’s direction and in the Director’s absence.
    • Provide governance and guidance to SEA staff on equitable services requirements as outlined in ESSA.
    • Provide guidance and technical assistance to LEA staff on equitable services requirements as outline in ESSA.
    • Provide guidance and technical assistance to staff of nonpublic schools regarding the equitable services requirements for LEAs.
    • Manage all aspects of the annual Nonpublic Registration Form.
    • Manage all aspects of the annual Nonpublic Registration and Public School Verification.
    • Monitor all LEAs for equitable services requirements as outlined in ESSA. Assist in the coordination of monitoring for all sub grantees and maintaining required compliance documentation.
    • Chair of planning the annual Federal Programs conference.
    • Assist in the coordination of all planning, implementation, and evaluation of grant activities to assist schools in improving student performance.
    • Develop written and on-line publications such as manuals, applications, data collection tools, and program evaluation reports.
    • Attend national, regional, and state meetings focused on the special populations served by the Student Support Section.
    • Plan, coordinate, and conduct technical assistance and information workshops for Department, state, and national audiences related to program requirements, effective program planning, data-driven decision making, professional development, and program evaluation.
    • Perform other related work as assigned.
    • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in education or closely related field and successful experience in managing or administering a significant special program or project.


    OR

    • Four or more years of progressive experience in the field of education with administrative or supervisory responsibility and possession of a high school diploma or equivalency.
