Job Summary: Assists the Technical Coordinators with a variety of event support duties, which may include sound and/or lighting installation, operation, load in, load out, program setup, strikes and security.
The salary range for this position is
$17.08- $23.06 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

This opportunity will remain open until filled. Essential Functions: - Respond to building occupants’ needs by cleaning, locking/unlocking and performing light maintenance duties.
- Provide sound mixing, lighting operation, stage management and/or run crew duties for events at the direction of the Technical Coordinators.
- Maintain knowledge of the workings of all positions within the theater and provide back up when necessary for ticket selling, house managing, facilities maintenance, technical coordination.
- Assist the Technical Coordinators with training and supervision of volunteer technicians.
- Assist Technical Coordinators with the installation and maintenance of all audio/visual and theater lighting and sound equipment, as needed.
- Coordinate with facilities maintenance regarding the building and operations.
- Provide efficient and courteous customer service to patrons, renters, performers and other City employees.
- Assist Technical Coordinators with requirements of artists contract and any attached riders.
Other Job Functions: - Assist the Theater Manager as a production technician in the Rialto Theater Center (event side) as needed.
- Assist the Theater Manager as a House Manager in the Rialto Theater and/or the Rialto Theater Center (event side) as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - High School graduate or GED required.
- 1 year theatrical technical experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Knowledgeable and capable with general technical stage operations.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions: - Frequent m oderate to considerable physical effort that includes working from ladders in awkward positions. Frequent use of light or medium weight objects (e.g., 25-50 lbs) and use of medium weight tools.
- Frequent s trenuous to extreme physical effort that includes frequent use of heavy objects (e.g., 50+ pounds) and may also use heavy tools or require strenuous application in awkward positions.
- Occasional e xposure to marginal to moderate conditions that are unpredictable and may lead to injury.
- Occasional e xposure to hazardous conditions that may lead to workplace injury such as working in heights, exposure to fly ash and/or energized electrical equipment.
