    Charleston County Environmental Management is looking for a highly motivated, safety-minded individual who likes working outdoors, assisting members of the general public, providing outstanding customer service and performing a variety of tasks at our convenience centers. This employee’s primary site will be at Edisto Convenience Center.

    HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $15.00 - $16.96

    OPEN UNTIL FILLED - APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELY

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license for South Carolina with safe driving record
    • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to thirty-five (35) pounds.
    • One (1) year of experience in dealing with the public/ Customer Service
    • Ability to present a positive attitude when dealing with the residents of Charleston County
    • This position requires the employee to reach and push with hands and arms; stand; use hands to handle, feel,

    grasp or operate objects, tools or controls; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel,

    crouch, or crawl; use mental acuity and repetitive motion; and walk, talk and hear.
    • Work a flexible schedule from 7:30am-6pm Mon- Sat
    • Ensuring the timely opening and closing of assigned convenience center
    • Maintaining convenience center and surrounding areas are clean and free of debris.


    Minimum Qualifications

    Position requires an 8 th grade education OR any equivalent combination of training and work experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
