    The City of Burlingame is a dynamic suburb of 30,000 people located on the San Francisco Peninsula. Embracing a collaborative and guardian style approach to policing, the Burlingame Police Department is supported by 60 personnel, including 40 sworn officers, and a FY24-25 budget of approximately $24 million.

    Burlingame is seeking a visionary policing professional who thrives in a small to mid-size organization and is committed to high standards and superior service delivery. The ideal candidate will be a highly engaged leader who is energized by ongoing engagement with members of the department as well as the community. They will be highly attentive to an organizational culture that values people. Competitive candidates will bring a minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible law enforcement experience, including at least 2 years at a level comparable to rank of Captain. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

    The salary range goes up to $273,666 and is supplemented by a generous benefits package that includes the potential to earn up to $1,034 per month with possession of a POST Executive Certificate. Closes at 11:59 pm on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
