- General clerical duties, answer telephones, staff scheduling and calendar maintenance, maintain unit inventory, and coordinate of travel arrangements.
- Coordinate workshops, meetings, and special events.
- Function as the unit fiscal contact, handle purchase requests, contract monitoring, tracking, and other fiscal duties as needed.
- Track and log activities for required annual trainings, grants, and other unit responsibilities.
- Facilitate MSPHL new employee orientation sessions.
- Coordinate and assist with laboratory tours.
- Support the Missouri Laboratory Response Network by maintaining the MORLN database, participating in site visits, dissemination of timely information and assist the Training Coordinator as needed.
- Assist with MSPHL continuity and laboratory safety procedures and operations.
- Exercise significant independence and initiative in the performance of responsibilities.
- Maintains logs for tracking and documentation for grant and other unit activities.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or 3 or more years of relevant professional experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of office practices, procedures, systems, and equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Email/Calendar). Exposure to platforms, such as Qualtrics, SmartSheet, and Lucidchart is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and competing priorities to meet deadlines, and quality requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience and proficiency in public speaking.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel in-state with some regularity and out-of-state on occasion.
- A valid Missouri driver license.
