    Job/Department Summary:

    Working independently, under general direction of the Director of Early Outreach and Support Programs (EOSP), the Office Coordinator performs a variety of highly responsible, confidential, and complex administrative support and coordination of administrative operations for the entire organizational unit, consisting of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Student Support Services (SSS), Foster Youth Program/PATH Scholars (FYP), Dream Center (DRMC), and the Summer Bridge Program. Incumbent serves as the primary contact point for all departmental budget matters, maintaining University and Foundation budgets using a variety of campus systems. Financial activities include budget projections, analysis, monitoring, and reconciliation for department's complex and expanding portfolio of EOSP program dollars, grants, contracts, and services, including external funding, and special or faculty contracts. The Office Coordinator collaborates with a diverse group of stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and community members, to implement duties in accordance with guidelines. Priority emphasis for this position involves financial monitoring and reporting for both state and foundation accounts. The Office Coordinator facilitates procurement activities, serves as the liaison for personnel and payroll functions and maintains currency in guiding documents, such as the Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), Executive Memorandums (EM), technical letters, and other policies and procedures of CSU Chico and the University. Additional duties include event planning and coordination, website maintenance, and may provide lead work direction for staff and supervision of front office student employees.

    Required Education and Experience:

    The knowledge, skills and abilities listed above would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training PLUS two years of full-time administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs.

    Preferences:

    Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
    • 5 + years of administrative analyst experience
    • Proficient in advanced Excel functions and features
    • Proven experience in budget management
    • Experience managing a range of funding sources

    Time Base: Full-time- 1.0

    Pay Plan: 11/12 (July off)

    Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs 7:00-5:30.

    CSU Classification Salary Range: $50,580 - $91,500 per year.
