Full-time position available with the Convention and Entertainment Facilities Department, Sales Division located at 301 W 13th St. (Bartle Hall)
Salary Range: $4,619-$6,928/Month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Leads and execute sales strategies to drive bookings and revenue for the Convention and Entertainment Facilities.
- Develops and implement effective sales plans, focusing on lead generation and deal closures within an 18-month booking window.
- Maximizes sales, profitability, and account growth through public shows, local catered events, and meetings while ensuring exceptional client experiences.
- Plans and implement strategic sales initiatives to secure bookings and achieve revenue goals.
- Generates and close leads for public shows, special events, and meetings within the assigned booking window.
- Conducts client meetings, site tours, and presentations to enhance customer experience and promote venue offerings.
- Negotiates and finalize contracts while addressing client needs and concerns.
- Builds and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and competitor activity to optimize sales strategies.
- Exceeds quarterly and annual sales targets through proactive engagement and business development.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience in business or public sector administration to include at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience with at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs.
Preference given to applicants who possess a minimum of three (3) years of hospitality and/or convention sales and supervision experience. Other Information

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
