Full-time position available with the Health Department, REACH Program Division, located at 2400 Troost.
Salary Range: $4,619-$6,928/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Tuesday-Thursday 11:00 a.m.-8:00 pm., Friday-Saturday 2:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. or Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. *Hours may vary based on program needs

Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing all client outreach, case management, and service provision efforts for the REACH program.
- Supervise a team of REACH Navigators and REACH Responders, ensuring adequate response times and coordinating high-quality care for REACH clients.
- Work closely with community resource organizations and law enforcement partners to support REACH staff as they provide client care.
- Spend equal time in the office and out in the community, and must be willing to work non-traditional working hours, including on-call shifts, weekends, and evenings.
- Oversees and manages a team of REACH Navigators and REACH Responders, ensuring high quality care for REACH clients.
- Provides guidance, coaching, and ongoing professional development to REACH staff.
- Conducts regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and ensures staff are meeting program goals.
- Ensures all outreach and case management activities align with program goals and are carried out effectively.
- Responds to calls for service from police and the REACH community call line, dispatching REACH staff when appropriate.
- Ensures staff respond to requests for service within a reasonable amount of time.
- Coordinates between community resource organizations, law enforcement partners, and REACH staff to provide client care.
- Reports on operational activities, client progress, and any emerging trends or challenges the REACH Program Manager.
- Aggregates operations data, crafts reports, and presents information to interested community groups and governance boards.
- Promotes the work of REACH staff through verbal and written communication.
- Assists in planning and executing community outreach events.
- Assists in neighborhood canvassing, personal visits, social service agency outreach, house meetings, and phoning.
- Advises the REACH Project Manager on matters of procurement and contract provision as it relates to client care.
- Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the REACH program, including working evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as necessary.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 4 (OR an accredited Master's degree and 2) years of responsible health related experience in the fields of public health with the federal, state or local government or in the private health sector, including 1 year at the level of Public Health Specialist II; OR a doctorate in Veterinary Science, Health Education or Public Health or Doctor of Medicine (MD); OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience, including 2 years of experience at the level of Public Health Specialist II. Must possess a valid State -issued driver's license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies. Must pass a preemployment drug screen and post offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.

The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
