    Overview

    Join the District Attorney's Office as an Administrative Specialist - Central Services Record Tech!

    The District Attorney’s Office is looking for an enthusiastic and organized individual to fill the Administrative Specialist role. This highly visible position offers the opportunity to interact with the public, attorneys, and all members of our office.

    As a key team member, you will ensure smooth operations by handling various tasks, from assisting people in person and over the phone to managing complex document preparation for scanning and indexing. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent multitasking skills, and have a positive attitude with a good sense of humor.

    The District Attorney's Office is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A person in this position would be expected to be available for those hours. After a probationary period, there is a 1 day/week telecommuting option.

    Responsibilities

    What you'll be doing:
    • Answering the main phone line for the District Attorney's Office
    • Scanning and indexing departmental documents into the imaging system according to established procedures
    • Assisting the public with inquiries about cases they are involved in (as a defendant, victim, or witness)

    What we're looking for:
    • Familiarity with routine office software and business applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and databases
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
    • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
    • While not required, experience with legal or confidential matters and interacting with the public is preferred


    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • One (1) year of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar office administrative duties and responsibilities required.
