PHYSICAL WORK ADDRESS: Inks Lake State Park, 3480 Park Road 4 West, Burnet, TX 78611
GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
Under the direction of the Park Headquarters Manager, this position performs entry-level to routine customer service work. Responsible for providing clerical and customer service support for Inks Lake State Park. Provides information to the public in person, on the telephone and in writing. Responsible for revenue collection, accounting for daily revenue and ancillary product sales. Operates credit card machine, customer registration and computer. Prepares reports and processes correspondence. Performs general cleaning of the Park Headquarters. Works under close to moderate supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division, and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education :
Graduation from High School or GED.
Experience :
One year experience in general clerical, cash handling or customer service.
Licensure :
Must possess or be able to obtain, within 30 days of employment, a valid class "C" Texas driver's license.
NOTE : Retention of position contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience :
Two years of experience in fee collection.
Two years of experience in customer service.
Two years of experience in computer registration.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

WORKING CONDITIONS :
Required to work in a public park with overnight camping and day use;
Required to work 40 hours per week with hours other than 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and days off other than Saturdays, Sundays and holidays;
Required to adjust to changing schedules;
Hours may be reduced or extended as needed;
Must conform to TPWD dress and grooming standards, work rules and safety procedures;
Required to perform manual labor including, lifting supplies and materials up to 20 lbs.;
Required to travel 5% with possible overnight stays;
Required to operate a State vehicle;
Non-smoking environment in State buildings and vehicles.
