    Position Description
    Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Under general supervision, performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, para-professional or professional staff members.

    Major/Essential Functions
    • Liaison with the Texas Board of Nursing and other state nursing boards in preparing graduate applications for licensure or APRN graduates.
    • Generates various reports and documents needed for certification agencies after graduation, such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB), American College of Nurse-Midwives (ASNM).
    • Preparation of forms for students in each track required by credentialing agencies (ANCC, AANP, PNCB and ACME) and the board of nursing during OSCE's.
    • Validation of program education and/or performance of APRN graduates who are applying for clinical privileges or institutional credentialing as APRN's.
    • Provides backup support to the Associate Dean/Dept. Chair: Maintain confidential and routine records.
    • Generate required reports and documents needed by the Nursing Educational Program Information Survey (NEPIS), ACME Nurse Midwife Annual Monitoring Report and for Pediatric Nursing Credentialing Board (PNCB).
    • Generate Letters of good standing for ongoing students and graduates.
    • Gather and maintain aggregate data reports for each certification agency ANCC, AANP, PNCB, AMCB and AACN for each track. Develop one document showing pass rates for each year and track.
    • NC-SARA (National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements).
    • Perform other duties as required.


    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
