    • Assists Senior Storekeeper and personally participates in storekeeping responsibilities of the warehouse and toolroom for the procuring, receiving, expediting, inspecting, testing, storing, and issuing of materials, equipment, and tools to support Department operations.

    • Creates new codes for spare and new parts.

    • Participates in purchasing materials or services by creating and reviewing requisitions, issuing releases against contracts or blanket authorities, or using a purchasing card.

    • Assists with contract administration. Inspects tools and equipment and determines the need for repair or replacement.

    • Maintains all related warehouse records, documents, and specifications for materials, equipment, chemicals, and supplies, including fleet and material handling equipment.

    • Prepares and reviews reports.

    • Supervises, adheres and enforces Division safety practices and procedures and conducts safety inspections.

    • Schedules prepares, conducts, and verifies physical inventories.

    • Performs other related duties.

    Candidates must be able to lift up to 70 pounds, have the ability toclimb platform ladders, and have the dexterity to repetitively bend and stoop. A valid California Class C Driver’s license is required, and a Forklift Operators Certificate must be maintained during employment. Selected candidate may be subject to overtime, call-out, and reassignment in accordance with MOU provisions.
