Registered Nurse III - Specialty Care. This class takes the role of a Charge Nurse in the Behavioral Health unit. Under direction, the Registered Nurse III will plan, assign, direct and review the work of professional and technical staff engaged in patient care at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center on a designated shift.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit,
456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

TRADITIONAL BENEFITS OPTION MODIFIED BENEFITS OPTION CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process : Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical and verification of employment history and education.
License/Certifications: RN license, and Basic Life Support, and depending on the area of assignment, additional certification(s) may be required and must be maintained throughout employment.
Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility; applicants must be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays . Shift differentials are provided.

Minimum RequirementsApplicants must possess all the following: License: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a licensed registered nurse in which 3 months must be in a Behavioral Health specialty unit.
Certifications: - Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must obtain Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certificate issued by ARMC upon hire
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field and at least four years of experience working in acute hospital in the units of Behavioral Health.
