DESCRIPTIONThe Long Beach Airport has one (1) immediate opening for a full-time, at-will, unclassified Clerk Typist III position. This position will provide s upport to the Superintendent of Airport Security.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES- Receiving applications, verifying documents, processing fingerprints, adjudicating cases, issuing permits, passes, badges, and conducting audits;
- Performing regulatory and administrative duties, which include making photocopies, emailing documents, record checks, maintaining daily logs, filing, scheduling training, and conducting training;
- Conducting badging office established procedures that include but are not limited to the distribution of correspondence, reports, information, paperwork, invoices, forms, or related information;
- Maintaining records and databases, and preparing standard reports;
- Communicating with Federal, State and local department representatives; and
- Performs other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS TO FILE- The ability to type neatly and accurately at a net speed of 40 words per minute.
- The ability to file in alphabetical and numerical order and perform clerical detail, which includes making simple mathematical computations and correcting error in grammar, spelling and punctuation;
- The ability to work cooperatively with other employees and the public.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Two years (full-time equivalent) of professional experience in administrative/clerical or security/law enforcement.
- A valid Class C Driver License.
- Proficiency in Office 365.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
