    The City of Medina, WA is seeking a City Manager for this waterfront community of 2,841 residents situated on the shores of Lake Washington across the SR520 floating bridge from Seattle. Located in the heart of the metropolitan Puget Sound Region, Medina is home to some of the most sought-after properties in the Pacific Northwest. Medina is known for its distinctive mix of natural tranquility and small-town character, providing a peaceful retreat just minutes from the conveniences of nearby cities. With its exclusive 98039 zip code, Medina takes pride in its independent status and sense of prestige while maintaining a welcoming, close-knit atmosphere. 

     

    THE CITY OF MEDINA 

    Incorporated in 1955, the City of Medina operates as a Council/Manager form of government with a seven-member non-partisan part-time City Council. The mayor is selected by the City Council and serves a two-year term. The City serves a population of 2,841 across 1.44 square miles with a 2025 budget of $10.5 million and a team of 26 FTEs across six departments: the City Clerk’s office (also known as Central Services), Development Services, Finance, Police, and Public Works.

    The City Manager is the Chief Executive Officer of the City, appointed by and reporting directly to the City Council. The City Manager ensures that City staff and direction are responsive to the leadership of the City Council, high quality services are provided in an effective and efficient manner, and  the City of Medina remains committed to preserving its natural environment, quality of life for all residents, and ethical governance.
