Full-time position available with the Neighborhood Services Department Animal Services Division, location is TBD, in the Kansas City area.
Salary Range: $4,619-$6,928/monthly
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
• Attends meetings of community organizations for the purpose of developing a district presence in the community and serving as a liaison between external stakeholders.
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of building effective communications, enhancing relationships, and ensuring a high quality of customer service/satisfaction is delivered to Kansas City, MO residents.
• Solicits feedback from external stakeholders for the purpose of improving services and programs provided and forecasting future needs of the department.
• Recommends responses and action plans as a result of interactions with external stakeholders ensuring effective communication practices to meet service goals and to provide community visibility to the ASD.
• Develops, plans, coordinates and/or assists with community outreach activities.
• Gather and maintain information regarding the Kansas City, MO, community ecosystem, including the limitations of, and access to, resources and supportive services. Assess and monitor demographic data related to the community, the community's needs and the correlation of available programs.
• Compose or prepare detailed and accurate correspondence, case notes, narrative and technical reports, heat maps, notifications, and other related documents including state and city forms and documents related to animal services, using computer-based applications.
• Develop, assess, and track measurable data and trends in community impact and operations. Continually monitor for opportunities to increase impact. Assist the Chief in the identification and evaluation of opportunities to improve program effectiveness on the basis of participation and achievement of stated goals and make recommendations and/or modifications to improve performance. Assist in implementation and participation in outcome measurement processes and other evaluation programs.

Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience in business or public sector administration to include at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience with at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
