    SOCIAL SERVICES DIVISION The Health and Human Services Agency’s Social Services Division strives to improve the quality of life for the residents of El Dorado County. They help residents meet basic needs and ultimately become self-sufficient by offering the following services: CalFresh, CalWORKs, Medi-Cal, General Assistance, and employment services.

    THE OPPORTUNITY
    Supervise office support staff and activities in either a single specified or multiple related office support areas; provide difficult, technical or specialized office support to various County offices.

    The selected candidate will have the opportunity to:
    • Supervise and direct office support staff and activities, either directly or through subordinate lead staff.
    • Plan, schedule and assign office support work such as drafting correspondence, typing, work processing, reception, filing, recordkeeping, report preparation, fiscal recordkeeping and similar clerical processing activities.
    • Participate in the hiring of assigned staff, recommending selection for management approval.
    • Train assigned staff in general office and County procedures and specific departmental and unit policies and procedures.
    • Evaluate employee performance, counsel employees, and effectively recommend initial disciplinary action and other personnel decisions.

    Ideal Candidate Statement
    The Office Services Supervisor leads a dedicated clerical team responsible for assisting clients involved with Child Welfare Services. This position has access and indirect exposure to traumatic events. An ideal candidate for this position is a fast learner, thrives in a fast paced, high stress environment, and can remain calm under pressure. They have experience leading a diverse team of individuals who possess a variety of skills and needs. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, diplomatic, and can provide positive customer service to clients experiencing adversity.

    Three years of office support or secretarial experience.
