    Job Location: Division of Professional Registration, Dental Board/Optometry Board/Board of Podiatric Medicine/Office of Statewide Electrical Contractors, 3605 Missouri Boulevard, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109.

    The position will be responsible for leading a team that is responsible for processing and reviewing applications and complaints. Candidates must have good, effective communication skills, be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, make routine decisions, organize workflow and establish priorities and deadlines. Candidate must be able to maintain effective working relationships and have ability to oversee and coordinate support functions to attain work objectives.

    • Manage, train and direct staff, including providing technical and administrative assistance, monitoring their workload, and communicating directives and assignments;
    • Be able to perform all aspects of the licensing support positions in the event of absence or vacant position;
    • Prepare and post agendas and attend board meetings and conference calls to take and transcribe minutes;
    • Assures timely and accurate processing of applications, printing/mail services, along with scanning of documents for record retention;
    • Reviews and evaluates all complex and/or problematic applications and determines whether application warrants further review by executive director and/or board/committee members;
    • Directs or assists staff with the resolution of non-routine telephone and written inquiries regarding licensure;
    • Assist in promulgation of proposed rule changes;
    • Provides technical assistance to executive director, counsel, investigators and members of the four separate boards on licensing and administrative issues;
    • Oversee procurement of supplies and equipment.


    What we are looking for:

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Four or more years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, or closely related field AND up to two years relevant experience. (Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university in the areas of business or public administration may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience)
    • Knowledge of computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
