    This position will be based out of the Department of Correction's Central Office location in Jefferson City, MO. Alternative work locations may be discussed.

    This is a senior administrative supervisory position responsible for the overall management of comprehensive behavioral health substance use services for the Missouri Department of Corrections.

    Responsibilities include: guiding contract and departmental behavioral health substance use service delivery, including auditing and oversight; direct supervision of behavioral health substance use staff at Central Office and remote locations across the state; leading the department's substance use initiatives, assisting with planning and policy/procedure development regarding behavioral health substance use services and other programming as needed; assisting with departmental strategic planning and other executive-level decision making; collaborating with other divisions, departments, and other internal and external stakeholders to include being a member on various committees and work groups; and ensuring department programs meet constitutional and statute regulations. Periodic travel throughout the state is necessary. Position will report to Deputy Division Director of Integrated Care.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    The successful applicant will have five or more years of experience overseeing behavioral health services or program coordination/operational management. Experience may be a combination of clinical, administrative, and management duties.

    Correctional experience is preferred, but not required.

    Supervisory experience is preferred, but not required.

    Some positions are eligible for a shift differential of $173.34 semi-monthly, which is provided to employees with shifts that begin on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am, and who work at a 24/7 worksite (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center), or whose work requires regular visits to these locations. If selected for interview, eligibility may be discussed at that time with the hiring manager.

    The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
