Role Description The Project Specialist is responsible for completing special requests or unscheduled tasks. This position works on a broad variety of tasks under the Business Office umbrella with a heavy focus on Consumer Banking account and budget management. This role will also act as the Business Office Documentation Accessibility expert.
What you'll do: -
- Ensuring Business Office documentation meets Accessibility standards.
- Update changes in Rate Allocation Scores and any affected budgets.
- Responsible for tracking and updating ongoing assigned projects.
- Escalating issues or concerns as they are identified.
- Maintaining positive communications with external and internal stakeholders
- Continued research and follow up with documentation of progress.
- Ability to switch gears quickly as higher priority tasks are assigned.
- Attend and pass annual assigned trainings.
- Attend required meetings.
- Review and approve Business Office documentation meets Accessibility requirements.
- Good organization and decision-making skills, ability to work with a variety of providers and co-workers and build relationships with them, knowledge of DD/DMH vision, guidelines, Department Operating Regulations, Code of State Regulations.
- Enter, update, and/or retrieve information from Microsoft Office 365 Suite Programs.
- Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets.
- Communicate in writing or verbally with individuals, Providers, co-workers, and/or supervisors utilizing agency forms, computer programs and email as required.
- Intermediate knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Follow CSR's, Departmental Operating Regulations, and Division Guidelines.
- Reads and follow directions.
- Possess adequate vision and hearing for the position.
- Maintains positive interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to perform physical requirements including, but not limited to: frequent standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; regular walking, talking, hearing, reaching with hands and arms (including above head); occasional climbing of stairs or balancing.
- Lift at least 20 lbs.
- May be required to travel to/from DMH facilities, provider, and community locations. Required during work week and may include numerous locations.
- Must maintain a current State of MO Driver's License.
- Attends work according to facility policies to ensure adequate staff coverage.
Typical Qualifications:3 -- 5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Knowledge, skills & abilities Knowledge of accounting procedures and office methods and practices. Ability to meet deadlines. Capable of reviewing financial documents for accuracy with attention to detail. Ability to work independently with strong time management skills. Knowledge of basic research methods related to financial transactions and basic math calculations. Ability to identify and escalate items outside of the norm. Adherence to internal as well as Federal guidelines and regulations. Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
