This position will be in the Reentry Office located in Jefferson City with a daily work schedule range from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. In addition, this position will require frequent travel/overnight responsibilities.

This professional position will serve as an integral part of the Reentry Unit team, ensuring reentry services are properly implemented, delivered and monitored in the assigned region. In this position you will be responsible for providing reentry support and guidance to correctional facilities, probation and parole facilities, and probation and parole districts in the assigned region. The Reentry Services Supervisor will also engage with representatives from partnering state agencies, reentry providers, faith-based organizations and local community stakeholders.

Duties include but are not limited to the following: direct supervision of reentry team members, public speaking, developing and monitoring projects/programs with public and private organizations, conducting training programs and providing assistance to reentry service providers, and development and oversight of Memorandums of Understanding.

Minimum Qualifications:

Four or more years of experience with the Missouri Department of Corrections or another city, county, state, or federal correctional agency.

Experience with the Missouri workforce systems, social services and community partnerships may be substituted for correctional experience.

Two years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Supervisory experience involving supervision of distributed teams
• In-depth knowledge of reentry services in the State of Missouri
• Working knowledge of: the mission and vision for the Missouri Department of Corrections,
• Ability and willingness to support and articulate the important functions and priorities of reentry services
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Skilled in working both independently and as a team member with staff at all levels in the Department
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills including listening skills

Some positions are eligible for a shift differential of $173.34 semi-monthly, which is provided to employees with shifts that begin on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am, and who work at a 24/7 worksite (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center), or whose work requires regular visits to these locations. If selected for interview, eligibility may be discussed at that time with the hiring manager.

The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
