    The Larimer County Sheriff's Office is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Computer Services Unit. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with law enforcement and county partners to provide critical information which will inform decision making and support public safety initiatives.

    In this position, you will extract insight from data to improve business outcomes and achieve business objectives. This position works closely with department subject matter experts and the county's business intelligence team to effectively analyze the business environment, and respond with well designed and data centric products, visualizations, and data insights.
    *Starting pay range is $43.45 - $52.14/ hour and is an in-office position.*


    Responsibilities

    What You'll Be Doing:
    • Analyze and interpret organizational data to support internal decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Support the development of publications and presentations by translating data into clear, compelling
      narratives.
    • Prepare analytical reports and ad-hoc queries that inform leadership decisions and enhance transparency with the
      community.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for internal or external use.
    • Address data-related inquiries from the public, in compliance with CCJRA and CORA.
    • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of data from various sources, including confidential data.
    • Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance reporting and analytical techniques.

    What We're Looking For:
    • Excellence in communication and collaboration for partnering with business subject matter experts on
      data usage, data collection, and data quality processes.
    • Ability to provide clear, accurate, and timely data to stakeholders within the Larimer County Sheriff’s
      Office and others across Larimer County.
    • Experience in analyzing source data availability - including internal and external datasets - data quality,
      and data acquisition
    • Awareness and applied practice of modern data analysis tools and methods, data visualization tools,
      and problem-solving techniques.
    • Proficiency in designing and implementing data solutions to address business problems and support
      business initiatives.


    Qualifications

    • Three (3) years' experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
    • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, from an accredited college or university in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

    Supplemental Information

    Schedule :
    *This is an in-office role that requires the employee to work from our office location. Remote work is not an option for this position.
    Typical hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday, with flexibility to support business needs.
