This position is with the Office of Administration Division of Facilities Management, Design, and Construction (OA-FMDC) supporting the Operations Team. - Prioritize excellent customer service for a wide and diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to internal teams, state agencies, state officials, contractors, vendors and the public.
- Oversee purchasing and requisitioning procedures for a specific FMDC Operations region, including quarterly and yearly inventory and asset reconciliation.
- Enter and receive purchase requests in Missouri Buys and perform manual labor in connection with the receiving, handling, and storing of building materials and other similar items.
- Prioritize and coordinate efficient day-time travel to facilities across the region to deliver and retrieve inventory and orders.
- Maintain and control the region’s inventory and all records of purchasing, receiving, and distribution of tools, supplies and equipment for a complete and accurate listing of regional assets.
- Coordinate services and travel for routine preventative maintenance and corrective repairs of fleet vehicles.
- Inspect deliveries and purchases for conformance with specifications, reject shipments not meeting indicated specifications, and certify receipts in order to authorize payment to vendors.
- Determine appropriate situational action regarding deficiencies and/or errors with orders following established guidelines and procedures.
- Research which products, contractors and/or vendors best fit FMDC’s financial, functional, and preferential needs while ensuring the products meet established statutory, purchasing, and accounting guidelines.
- Enforce inventory principles and practices within the region while maintaining a positive working relationship with OA-Accounting and OA-Purchasing.
- Develop, implement, update and ensure compliance with ordering processes and procedures for the region.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to communicate, collaborate, and lead with integrity in a manner that inspires trust and builds positive rapport with a diverse group of stakeholders and the public.
- Excellent time management, organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Excellent attendance, work ethic, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
- 2-4 years of related experience in inventory management, cost control measures, warehouse oversight, or other relevant fields.
- Considerable knowledge of inventory methodology and procedures used in the procurement, receipt, storage, and shipment of a variety of goods and other related topics such as those regarding property accountability and records maintenance.
- Ability to compare materials and supplies with specifications and determine appropriate action to take regarding items not in conformance with specifications.
- Ability to understand and carry out time-sensitive instructions independently or as part of a team.
- Safety-first mindset with considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions. (OSHA 10 and/or 30 preferred, but FMDC can provide if needed.)
- Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license or from an adjacent state if you reside outside of Missouri. (Missouri Commercial Driver License (CDL) preferred.)
- Ability to properly lift and carry 50 lbs.

*This position is physically demanding.
