Salary: $40,171.25
Job Location: T his full time position will be located at 2351 Kanell Blvd Poplar Bluff, MO 63901. Regular work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday off. Occasional travel to Sikeston, MO may be required. This is a supervisory position that participates in and oversees the work of vocational level accounting staff, manages consumer benefits, and oversees procurement activities.
- Mid-level professional responsible for consumer reimbursements; reconciliation of benefits; coordination of benefits across multiple programs; and general accounting practices.
- Accounts Receivable for ICF, campus and crisis programs (Claim Builder, guardian billing).
- Purchasing of items needed for ICF and crisis programs (general revenue, consumer funds, vendor, contract payments, service maintenance agreements, Fleet wave payments).
- Management of ICF/Non-ICF campus and crisis consumer benefits, including Medicaid eligibility, social security funds, ABLE accounts, burial plans, other insurance, food stamps, and other financial benefits.
- Maintenance of consumer fund amounts as related to resource limitations. Follow up as necessary to ensure compliance and completion of spending plans.
- Complete conference and training registrations, secure lodging and rental vehicles for facility travel for all programs.
- Participation in internal and external audit requests.
- Complete all assigned financial assessments for consumers as applicable.
- Maintain clear understanding of current SSA/SSI guidelines, Medicaid requirements, and DMH policies and procedures.
- Proficient in MO Buys, MOVERS, CIMOR and other programs utilized by DMH for billing and financial transactions.
- Member of the SEMORS Business Office Team, working collaboratively to serve those individuals supported.
- May supervise other office staff.
- Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of experience and/or appropriate certifications. (Substitutions may be allowed).
- Understanding of general accounting processes.
- Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications - Competency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Proficient in MO Buys, MOVERS, CIMOR and other programs utilized by DMH for billing and financial transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks with minimal to no error.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from different backgrounds, educational levels and experiences.
- Ability to identify and implement time management strategies in job responsibilities.
