OverviewWe need a highly motivated, innovative, enthusiastic, and inclusive staff member to join our Benefits and Community Support Division as an Administrative Specialist!
The Administrative Specialist will help staff a phone team, answer basic questions for clients around their assistance programs (Food Assistance, Medicaid, Colorado Works, etc). This position works as part of a team that is expected to deliver excellent customer service while also answering a large volume of calls per day. This position will also require interaction with the public for long periods of time over the phone and will transfer calls to more skilled technicians as required.

The expected starting salary for this position is $22.2900/hour
Schedule: This position follows a Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule. A structured routine is required, including designated break and lunch times.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Interpreting County and departmental policies, rules, and regulations to respond to inquiries, including conducting necessary research
- Routing inquiries appropriately for complex matters or issues requiring further interpretation
- Accepting and processing plans, specifications, forms, reports, legal documents, applications, and similar materials in compliance with legal and procedural requirements
- Composing and preparing responses to various communications when information is factual or based on established policies, procedures, or standard practices
- Entering and maintaining data in computer systems or databases, proofreading for accuracy, and correcting errors as needed
- Providing excellent customer service, particularly to phone clients

Administrative Specialist I
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- One (1) year of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar office administrative duties and responsibilities required.
Administrative Specialist II
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- One (1) year experience as an Administrative Specialist I or two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar office administrative duties and responsibilities required.
