    Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
    Fresno State Athletic Corporation

    Compensation and Benefits

    Anticipated Hiring Salary: $5,720.00/month
    • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), non-exempt position

    The Fresno State Athletic Corporation provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, participation in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), and sick and vacation time.     Job Summary

    Assist the Head Women’s Basketball Coach with coaching and developing a nationally competitive Division I Basketball team. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: coaching student-athletes; recruiting; game management; scouting; academic monitoring; practice organization; summer camps; compliance; travel; In addition to other administrative duties as assigned.

    Key Qualifications
    • Have strong communication and motivation skills.
    • Computer and video analysis and breakdown knowledge.
    • Knowledge of NCAA rules and policies.
    • Coaching philosophy and teaching concepts must be compatible with those of the Head Coach.
    • Ability to work cooperatively with coaches, staff, faculty, students, and members of the community.
    • Commitment to academic integrity and compliance with University, conference and NCAA regulations.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and project a professional attitude.

    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education or by an equivalent international institution of higher education.
    • Played collegiate basketball or minimum of five (5) years of experience coaching or managing at the collegiate level.

    This position may be a "designated position" under the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code. This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
