    Duties Description

    Under higher-level supervision within the Health and Safety Department, the incumbent will perform a variety of administrative tasks within the Health and Safety department, in the Taconic Region. Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Data entry in several systems.
    • Inventory of all safety related equipment.
    • Monitoring and ordering regional PPE and other H&S items such as AED pads, batteries, etc.
    • Data input for all inspections, including beach, playground, and facility maintenance areas.
    • Data entry for Accident Reporting System (ARS) and Worker’s Compensation reporting.
    • Assist with overseeing the regional boot and high-vis jacket program.
    • Schedule, coordinate and track EHS (Employee Health Services) appointments for all appropriate regional staff.
    • Follow written direction, record and document required information.
    • Communicate effectively with staff and park patrons and have general knowledge of good safety practices.
    • Administer trainings to staff when necessary.

    Minimum Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    There are no minimum qualifications per Civil Service.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Adobe Pro.
    • Organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to multi-task.
    • Able to maintain a strict level of confidentiality & demonstrate the ability to use good judgement.

    Additional Comments

    OPERATIONAL NEEDS:

    • Must possess and maintain a valid US Driver’s License as a term and condition of appointment.
