Annual Salary: $74,697.36
EXAMPLES OF WORK - Assist with the collection, aggregation and validation of data
- Respond to a variety of ad hoc data requests via tables, charts, and other visual design tools
- Assist with the accurate and timely production of ongoing reporting as required by leadership
- Gather critical information from meetings with various internal/external stakeholders and coordinate with other state agencies/stakeholders to ensure collaboration, comprehension and standardization of reporting and data analysis
- Generate reports from established data systems
- Structure and present data through visual design and concise data storytelling (dashboards)
- Design and conduct analyses of complex health data
- Identify and troubleshoot unanticipated problems or results
- Communicate analysis and data results to team members and include recommendations of action items
QUALIFICATIONSMust demonstrate the following which may be obtained through four years of work experience as a research analyst or through completion of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, business management, finance, information technology or closely related program or some combination thereof:
- Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of data and trend analysis
- Ability to break down data into useful insights from many different sources
- Experience with R for statistical analysis and Python to integrate data analysis into applications
- Comprehensive ability to implement essential data science modeling techniques
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong proficiency with Tableau and Tableau Prep Builder
- Proficient writing SQL (Structured Query Language) queries
