The Position
Clinical Program Managers plan, organize, implement and direct one or more mental health, intellectual disabilities, and/or child development service delivery programs by establishing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; monitoring and evaluating program performance; developing and monitoring budgets; integrating programs with other state and community services; and supervising clinical and administrative staff, typically including licensed Psychologists and/or subordinate supervisors of professional clinicians.

The Division of Public and Behavioral Health: Rural Clinics has an opening for a full time Clinical Program Manager in our Fallon clinic. This position can be located and/or provide services at any of our Rural Clinics locations. Rural Clinics provides an array of outpatient behavioral health services for both adults and children in 16 clinics which are located in 12 counties across Rural Nevada. Services assist individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and recovery and follow Agency procedures and reimbursement guidelines. Rural Clinics has been designated as a loan repayment site through the Health Research and Services Administration National Health Services Corps. Any person providing specific services may be eligible to receive student loan repayment. Rural Clinics provides ongoing training including release time to attend training not Agency-sponsored. This position directs an outpatient behavioral health service delivery program by following established goals, objectives, policies, procedures and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. The incumbent will supervise personnel by mentoring and training to enhance service provision, including evidence-based treatment, crisis/emergency services and skills development. They will collaborate with other state and community services and entities to assure coordination of care in compliance with state laws and agency procedures. The incumbent will conduct intakes and make eligibility determinations; complete required paperwork and entry into Avatar; provide direct individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, or psycho-educational groups. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in clinical psychology, clinical social work, counseling, or a curriculum related to the option(s) identified, and three years of post-Master's degree professional experience in a human service delivery setting, one of which included supervision of professionals in the option(s) identified; OR a Doctoral degree (Ph.D or Psy.D) from an accredited college or university in clinical psychology, clinical social work, counseling, or a curriculum related to the option(s) identified, and two years of experience as described above, one of which included supervision of professionals in the option(s) identified. Special Requirements A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. Show moreThe presence of Nevada's earliest inhabitants, beginning about 12,400 years ago, is marked by many petroglyphs and archaeological sites. Baskets, decoys, and ingenious traps are evidence of the resourcefulness of these early people in a harsh and arid environment.
European explorers traveled through Nevada in the early 19th century, but it was not until 1851 that the first settlements were established. An Act of Congress created the Territory of Nevada on March 2, 1861. James W. Nye of New York was appointed Nevada's first Territorial Governor by President Abraham Lincoln later that year. On October 31, 1864, President Lincoln proclaimed Nevada's admission to the Union as the 36th state. The State's first elected Governor, Henry Blasdel, took office on December 5, 1864.
Today, Nevada is the nation's seventh largest state in land area. Several hundred mountain ranges cross its landscape, many with elevations over 10,000 feet. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
The Nevada Legislature has honored the State's natural resources and cultural heritage with a variety of State designations described below.
