Full-time position available with the Housing Department, Land Bank Division located at 414 E. 12th St
Salary Range: $6,489-$9,734/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Episodic Telework available *

Responsibilities
- Provides direct management and operation of the Land Bank with guidance from the Department Director or Deputy Director, and under the direction of the Land Bank Board
- Provides direct management and operation of the Kansas City, Missouri Homesteading Authority with guidance from the Deputy Director,
- Identifies training and development needs within the division through job analysis, appraisal schemes, and regular consultation with division staff and front-line workforce, in conjunction with the department Training Administrator.
- Manages and updates division training plans and training schedules with department Training Administrator.
- Conducts divisional on-boarding for new hires.
- Creates and maintains processes to track and record divisional data and program information.
- Creates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures for all programs, processes, and policies for Land Bank and Homesteading Authority.
- Assists in the implementation of new programs for the division and department.
- Provides support for HR functions, working closely with the Training Administrator.
- Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience working on federal or local housing services and programs; community or economic development; real estate; or managing a human, social, or public service program; OR High School and 9 years' experience working on federal or local housing services and programs; community or economic development; real estate; or managing a human, social, or public service program.
Preference given to applicants with experience in neighborhood preservation, community engagement, code enforcement, environmental policy, and/or compliance. Other Information

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
