T his position will be located at 2155 N. Westwood Blvd., Poplar Bluff, MO with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality, Southeast Regional Office, Administrative Unit.
This is senior-level office administrative position requiring independent work decisions for detailed administrative functions or processes, involving familiarity of specialized terminology and/or software. This position requires an individual that is highly organized, flexible, supportive, able to carry out assigned responsibilities with considerable independence, excellent customer service, and able to work in a team environment.
- Direct incoming calls and walk-ins adhering to the department’s values of good customer service.
- Distribute incoming mail to appropriate program and/or individual.
- Purchasing responsibilities following required policies, procedures, and contracts.
- Reconciliation of bill pay documents for accuracy and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Review and process technical correspondence: proofing for accuracy, completeness and compliant with established policies and procedures.
- Provide support to the environmental programs and the administrative team members.
- Responsible for annual office inventory.
- Perform other related work as assigned.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- One or more years of experience in administrative office work preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Available to work 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. schedule, with occasional overtime and overnight travel.
