We're looking for a Supervising Support Care Assistant to join our team. A successful candidate has previous experience working with the developmentally disabled, a strong work ethic and an active interest in helping to care for our consumers. It is often said that there is no greater satisfaction than working directly with our consumers, and this is absolutely true. It's extremely rewarding, since many of our consumers are living well.
Shifts include: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, with some mandatory overtime as required in order to meet the needs of the facility.

- Supervising and scheduling direct care staff for campus group homes.
- Oversees work of other Support Care staff.
- Communicates with doctors, clients, and families, and educates clients on care.
- As part of a treatment team, observing behavior and participating in habilitation programs.
- May provide transport to offsite appointments and application of restraints, when necessary.
- Schedule training for Support Care staff.
- Preparing reports, tracking leave requests, and assisting in group homes/SOP ISL with staffing/programming, etc. as necessary.
- Accountable for administering medications and other prescribed treatment such as taking vital signs, assisting with care plan activities, etc.
- Providing coverage in Group Homes as to meet consumer staffing needs as needed.
- May perform some security-related functions in a mental health care setting.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
- Must possess a valid drivers license.
- Knowledge of facility practices, rules, and regulations; methods and techniques of supervision.
- Ability to maintain records, schedules, and reports.
- Must pass background screening.
- Two-four years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed)
