Role Description: This position is responsible for ensuring accurate Medicaid billing for supported individuals receiving services through contracted provider agencies. This role includes updating and monitoring rate changes and tracking associated rebilling. In addition, this position is responsible for resolving billing related inquiries from internal as well as external stakeholders.
What you’ll do: - Assist with the processing of Medicaid waiver billing twice monthly. Ensure rebilling and payments to providers are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Aid with monitoring Billing Team inbox.
- Review and process inquiries within the Team inbox and personal inbox.
- Review the daily exceptions report and process rejections so that they can meet the overnight audit for billing.
- Responsible for Medicaid Waiver billing cycles for the assigned region.
- Process services provided to consumers on a monthly basis.
- Process the rejected claims log for resubmission of rejections to Medicaid for payment.
- Correspond with vendors regarding billing inquiries and status of payments, and any service rejections to be updated for rebilling.
- Assist Support Coordinators and TCM's with authorizations for input, adjustments, and billing. Reviewing billing and making adjustments when necessary.
- File paperwork to document changes to consumer's budgets and authorizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications: - 3-5 years of experience in State Government, Accounts Payable or Facility Management. A valid Driver’s License is required.
