This position helps APH realize our mission by managing department-wide PHAB Accreditation and Strategic Planning initiatives. The Business Process Consultant Senior plays a pivotal role in supporting continuous quality improvement by assessing APH strengths and opportunities in accordance with PHAB Standards and Measures; leading department-wide strategic planning, utilizing data to inform decision making; managing projects, and providing implementation support to achieve successful project outcomes.
Specifically, this position will manage the PHAB Accreditation and APH Strategic Planning process and is responsible for leading coordination, development, and implementation of these initiatives. This position will lead multiple cross-functional teams to introduce and implement updated PHAB guidance throughout the department and will lead the department’s Strategic Planning process resulting in a comprehensive 5-year Departmental Strategic Plan that is aligned with PHAB Standards and Measures, the Austin/Travis County Community Health Plan, and the City of Austin Strategic Plan. In addition, this position will support development and implementation of department-wide initiatives to strengthen Public Health Infrastructure at APH . This position has supervisory duties and is responsible for staff supervision.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Advises Executive Management team in defining and identifying key measures and performance targets. Makes recommendations to project teams and recommend organizational change utilizing appropriate talent. Identifies, collects, and researches to complete data analysis. Plans needs and forecasts resources for specific tasks and makes specific assignments to Business Process Consultants and/or staff. Accountable for achievement of goals of the division. Identifies talent to fulfill support roles, establishes relationships quickly and gather needed resources to ensure successful processes. Develops solutions to critical business issues and presents alternatives to executive management. Communicates project status to sponsors, stakeholders, and the rest of the department. Responsible for creating/revising models and methodologies which support consulting services. Develops project work plans and performs project management.
