    Equipment Operators are responsible for the maintenance and operation of heavy construction equipment used in the Construction Services, Street Renewal, and Urban Forestry operation divisions. Heavy equipment operation includes: trenching, construction of sidewalks, curbs, gutters, appurtenances, bulkheads, retaining walls, and sub-base preparation; street repairs, sub-base preparation, and resurfacing; loading and unloading of material including grindings, base, tree debris, and others as needed. Operators check equipment and the work site before, during, and after to ensure projects are completed on schedule, to identify potential hazards, and ensure public safety.
