PAYROLL SUPERVISOR (CLASS CODE 1170)
The Department of Animal Services is seeking to fill one Full-time Payroll Supervisor position via lateral transfer.
DUTIES
The Department of Animal Services is a very dynamic department in need of highly effective communicators who are
adaptable and exhibit good leadership skills. The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:- Ensuring that the Department’s employees complete their Workday time entries in an efficient and timely manner;
- Monitoring, compiling, and consolidating supporting documents pertaining to injury on duty payments, mileage, carfare, overtime worked, retroactive payments, and differential pay;
- Compiling extensive work histories for subpoenas;
- Compiling bi-weekly salary cost reports by general funding, overtime funding, and as-needed funding;
- Supervising and training an Accounting Clerk in daily payroll operations; and
- Training supervisors and timekeepers on correct methods of submitting time for employees.
REQUIREMENTS
Must currently have a regular appointment as a Payroll Supervisor or have status in the class of Payroll Supervisor.
