    Job Summary

    Performs administrative and supervisory work in the Public Works Department. Responsible for the management of Public Works Compliance Programs ie. LAP, ADA, Wastewater and Stormwater. Manages compliance inspections to ensure that federal, state, and local regulations are met. Work is reviewed through conferences, reports submitted, and results obtained.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    LAP & ADA Compliance

    Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field and a minimum of four (4) years experience in the area of construction or construction management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Incumbent must take Plans Reading and Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control (Advance MOT) within the first six months of employment and maintain it. Extensive experience managing vertical construction projects that include new building construction preferred.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
