Community Services Director

The City of Elgin, Texas, is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Community Services to oversee Parks & Recreation, Library Services, Main Street/Downtown Development, and Public Information. This executive role also serves as the City’s Public Information Officer, supporting communications, events, and interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, political science, or related field (required)
• At least 7 years of senior-level executive experience
• Minimum 4 years in municipal government administration
• Strong financial and team management background

Preferred:

• Master’s degree
• TAMIO Certified Public Communicator
• Experience in public information, marketing, or municipal communications
