    The Missouri National Guard employs approximately 430 state employees whose responsibilities are to support the Missouri National Guard in their day-to-day operations and ensure their readiness for any mission. We are “One Team” and our mission is to support the citizens of Missouri and the United States of America. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for the Veterans Recognition Program.

    J o b L o ca ti on: Thi s pos ition w ill be l o c at ed a t the Ike Skelton Training Site Patriot Center, 2302 Militia Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri.

    • Review, approve, disapprove applications

    • Communicate with veterans on approval, denial and the mailing of awards

    • Assisting supervisor with maintaining vet outreach program

    • Assist in the development of an advertising plan

    • Assist in the planning and preparation of budgets

    • Manage the state property book

    • Attend promotional events as needed

    • Execute budgets

    • Assist archives as needed

    • All other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree and 2-3 years of experience in fiscal or administration. Substitutions may be allowed.

    • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access)

    • Strong communications and organizational skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in SAM II Financial and MissouriBUYS

    • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

    • Marketing experience a plus
