We seek a highly motivated, innovative, and inclusive individual to join our Accounting and Reporting team as an Accountant II.
Our team is responsible for financial reporting, preparing the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), managing the Schedule of Expenditures of Financial Awards (SEFA), and conducting monthly fund reviews.
Work Schedule:
- This is a 30-hour/week position
- Days and times are flexible between 8 am and 5 pm, and from Monday through Friday.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing :
- Reconciling accounting transactions and balance sheet activity; prepare adjusting journal entries as needed.
- Collaborating with other County departments on financial matters, including grant compliance and reporting.
- Interpreting and applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), governmental accounting standards, and federal/state grant reporting requirements, including Uniform Guidance.
- Maintaining accurate accounting records by reviewing and analyzing transactions for correctness and compliance, including monthly fund reviews.
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements.
- Assisting with providing documentation for the annual audit.

- Bachelor's degree with major coursework in accounting required.
- Three (3) years relevant experience required.
