Why you’ll love this position: The Child Care Subsidy Program increases children's access to early learning by assisting eligible parents/guardians with payments for child care in Missouri. The purpose of this program is to not only ensure children have access to early childhood programs, but also to help families with the cost of child care so they are able to focus on finding and holding steady jobs and/or are able to attend school and training programs.
- Provide customer service through incoming calls and emails from child care providers and workers concerning payment issues and electronic time and attendance problems.
- Review and process Payment Resolution Requests submitted by child care providers concerning payment discrepancies and determine if the provider has been paid appropriately.
- Rev iew and process overpayment claims if it is determined a provider has been overpaid.
- Review and complete supplemental payments that cannot be paid through system invoicing.
- Review error reports, determine eligibility, and process payments accordingly.
- Process stop payments check replacements for child care providers.
- Review protective service child care authorizations for quality control.
- Review bankruptcy notices for active providers.
- Monitor child care provider closure notices to ensure payment is not made after closure date.
- Assist in filing and archiving of child care provider payment records.
- Assist in monitoring generic child care payments email account.
- Assist with Administrative Assistant duties, as necessary.
- Maintain familiarity with DESE child care provider payment policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
Minimum Qualifications: - Graduation from high school or High School Equivalency.
- One year of relevant work experience.
