OverviewWe need a Plumbing Technician!
Join Larimer County’s Facilities team and help keep our buildings running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. We’re looking for a skilled Plumbing Technician with a strong maintenance background and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
In this role, you’ll focus on maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial plumbing systems, not installing new ones. You’ll also service kitchen and laundry equipment such as ice makers, dishwashers, steamers, washers, and dryers, and help keep our hot water and heat circulation systems working reliably.
This is a dynamic, customer-facing role where communication matters. You'll respond to service requests, troubleshoot issues in real time, and coordinate with County staff to minimize disruptions. You’ll also collaborate with departments like Security and Risk Management to support safe, secure, and accessible facilities.
If you're a licensed plumber who enjoys variety, solving problems, and helping people, this could be the next step in your career.
Schedule 7:30 am to 400 pm (Monday-Friday)
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Performing preventive maintenance on water and drainage systems and related equipment.
- Collaborating on plumbing redesigns or site use changes.
- Overseeing work performed by contractors or maintenance staff.
- Analyzing problems and recommending or initiating major repairs, replacements, or upgrades.
- Reviewing construction plans and attending pre-construction meetings.
- Responding to emergencies as needed, including after hours.
