As a Maintenance/Grounds Supervisor, no two days will be the same as you oversee a small team providing the maintenance, repair, and/or upgrade of the burial sites, structures, systems, and grounds around the Cemetery. Salary: $60,623.76
Examples of Work - Oversee and maintain the cemetery facilities and grounds, such as seeding, fertilization, application of herbicides and pesticides, and care of trees and shrubs.
- Supervise employees performing interment functions, such as opening and closing graves, transporting and placing caskets and urns, setting and aligning headstone and niche covers, and appearance of interment sites.
- Oversee maintenance of shop and equipment, including preventative maintenance, proper cleaning and material condition.
- Operate backhoe, dump truck, tractors, mowers, utility vehicles, and various power equipment such as chain saws and trimmers.
- Conduct on-going safety training and ensure availability and use of personal protective equipment.
- Work overtime as needed to meet the needs of the cemetery operations.
Qualifications - 2-4 years of relevant experience and semi-skilled work in building construction/maintenance
- Possess a valid Missouri Driver’s License
