    Position Description
    We are looking for a Family Medicine Physician to assist the Program Director in overseeing the administration of the program, ensuring compliance with ACGME requirements and supporting resident education. This physician will also provide compassionate and quality clinical care for patients with a wide range of family medicine conditions.

    Major/Essential Functions
    • Contributes to the curriculum development and implementation, in compliance with educational goals and accreditation standards;
    • Participates in the recruitment and selection processes for new residents;
    • Evaluates resident performance, provide feedback and offer guidance to residents;
    • Provides direct teaching to the residents, including inpatient and outpatient rotations;
    • Assesses patients through health histories, presenting illness and physical examination;
    • Orders laboratory, diagnostic and screening tests;
    • Develops and implements treatment plans including medications;
    • Educates patients on medications, treatments, wellness and disease management;
    • Coordinates care with subspecialists and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams;
    • Prepares and completes timely and accurate documentation for medical records; and
    • Participates in quality improvement, continuing education and patient care programs established by the department, clinic and/or hospital.


    Occasional Duties


    Required Qualifications
    • MD, DO or MBBS;
    • Completion of an ACGME Family Medicine Residency;
    • Current Board Certification by the American Board of Family Medicine;
    • Must hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas.
